We very glad to hear the good news that production at the SSI Plant in Teeside has started production and rolled off their first steel slab. We continue to provide the North East/Teeside region with our instrumentation within various industries and glad to see that the plant has been re-ignited.

Steelmaking has been reignited

It is great to hear today about Steelmaking returning to the Teesside region, in Redcar.

They used a gas lance which was itself ignited by embers from an operational blast furnace, in keeping with steelmaking tradition. Workers cheered at the sight of flames inside the furnace. The first steel slabs are likely to be produced over the next three days.

We have been a key instrumentation partner to many companies in the Teesside region and with this re-opening, we know that it will bring money back into local economy & resume the long tradition of steelmaking on Teesside.
